Five tests on sediment-runoff regulation have made very prominent achievements since 2002,and flood carrying capacity has been improved since then,bank-full discharge is increased;the loss of floodplain is reduced,river regime is steady,and the downstream river regime is developing favorably;project threats are reduced,a large amount of money is saved.

Since 2002,the sediment-runoff regulation of Yellow River has persisted in 7 years,the flow capacity of the main channel has been greatly enhanced through erosion.
