补充资料:三悬潭瀑布

天兴潭又名三悬潭,位在嵊县西南面,源出东阳西溪。天兴潭地处海拔216 米的深山野岙,三里之外即闻瀑布声,然而十步之隔尚不见其尊容。因为它隐藏在一个狭窄如缝,壁高参天的凹谷中。

天兴潭由互相关连的三处深潭组成,因名“三悬潭”。潭与潭距离很近,但瀑布落差分明。三悬潭瀑布以神秘和幽奇著称。所谓三潭者,即瀑布有三泄,因三泄而生三潭:里潭、中潭、外潭。诗人谢灵运《发归濑三瀑布望两溪》诗中所谓“濑三”者,即指三悬潭。
