Based on an analysis of the predicament into which the development of Chinese traditional garden architecture has fallen, the new concept of "stereoscopic garden court" is first proposed in this paper in the light of the author s innovative designing of the tall residential garden court of Guangzhou Peace Garden, and the merits and demerits of such a practice is then discussed.
