在我国已经加入WTO的今天,为了使学生掌握扎实的动物检疫理论知识和熟练的操作技能,提高学生分析问题和解决问题的能力,培养和造就出一支有理想、懂法律、通业务的高素质、应用型、复合型检疫人才,我们对《动物检疫学》课程的教学做了一些改革尝试。

中华人民共和国农业部所属的一所承担动物检疫技术行政和科研任务的机构。设于山东省青岛市。1979年在原农业部农业生物研究所第一研究室的基础上扩建而成。现有高、中级科技人员46名。业务机构设有病毒、细菌、病理生化、中心仪器、寄生虫、鱼禽病、培养基、情报资料等室。主要从事动物疫病的检疫、诊断的研究，特别是疑难病和国外病的诊断研究工作；同时承担全国动物检疫技术指导和检疫人员的培训工作；代农业部制定和修改全国动物检疫操作规程；承担进出口动物的内外检疫工作。此外，还进行技术咨询、技术情报服务和国际合作研究等业务。出版《动物检疫》（季刊）。
