The settlement characteristics of the underlying soil layer of composite ground are studied systematically; through comparison of the settlements , by proper numerical modeling tests for composite ground, two-layered soil, artificial ground and natural ground with different improvement parameters, such as replacement ratio and elastic modulus ratio between pile and soil.

From the aspects of bearing capacity,averaged settlement and integral decline,analyzing a building of 32 layers based on residual soil of granite,proving the feasibility of natural ground.
