In the long run, in English language teaching of China, the development of students linguistic competence has been emphasized, while the development of students cultural awareness and socialcultural competence has been ignored.

When it comes to college English teaching, the primary concern of teachers should be to foster students cultural sensitivity, so that students can accelerate their knowledge of English language, understand cultural differences and similarities, and comprehensively improve their cross-cultural communicative competence.

Through the new syllabus for college English majors,this article discusses that the cultural difference sensitivity is in direct proportion to the cultural difference sensitivity.

In this thesis, after reviewing the various definitions of Intercultural sensitivity (ICS), we provide the definition of Chinese Intercultural Sensitivity: the dynamic developing features of Chinese people\'s emotional ability on understanding, perceiving and appreciating cultural differences when they communicate with foreigners.
