| 油橄榄 Olea europaea；olive 木犀科木犀榄属常绿乔木。又称齐墩果。以其果实能产油而形状又似橄榄得名。世界著名的木本油料树种。树高可达20米，胸径达2米。树皮网状开裂。幼茎灰绿色，成熟后逐渐变成灰褐色。单叶对生，长椭圆形或披针形，革质，深绿色，叶背呈银灰白色，由盾状鳞毛形成。总状花序。核果为球形、卵形或椭圆形，初期为绿色，成熟时转呈紫黑色。内有种子1枚，多为椭圆形，倒卵形或圆锥形等。
该种在中国15个省（市、自治区）均有引种，以陕西南部、四川东部和北部及湖北西部地区较适宜生长。喜光性强，适宜温暖干燥气候。对土壤的适应能力强 ，pH5.8～8.5均可生长。要求土壤排水良好。油橄榄多用嫁接或扦插法繁殖。嫁接繁殖 时，用种子培育的实生苗作砧木。造林宜在早春，选择向阳开阔、排水良好的疏松土壤，全面深翻后穴植。要注意施肥，尤其是钙、硼肥。油橄榄的病害有青枯病，局部地区可引起整株死亡；疮痂病为害果实、嫩梢、幼芽；孔雀斑病可引起大量落叶。害虫有蚧、天牛、大粒横沟象等。
油橄榄果肉中的橄榄油是唯一的鲜果冷制油，油中维生素等成分未受破坏，几乎不含胆固醇，容易被人体消化、吸收。橄榄油除直接作食用油外，在食品工业、制药工业、轻工业方面均有特殊用途。用以医治烧伤、烫伤有特殊功效。油橄榄果制品是名贵餐用果品，是国际市场上畅销商品之一。木材细致，可制作工艺品。油渣可作牲畜的饲料或肥料。 |
