1.我国古代传说产于拂菻国(指东罗马帝国及其所属西亚﹑地中海沿岸一带)的一种羊。《旧唐书．西戎传．拂菻》:"有羊羔生于土中，其国人候其欲萌，乃筑墙以院之，防外兽所食也。然其脐与地连，割之则死，唯人着甲走马及击鼓以骇之，其羔惊鸣而脐絶，便逐水草。"元刘郁《西使记》:"垄种羊出西海，以羊脐种土中，溉以水，闻雷而生，脐系地中，及长，惊以木，脐断便行，嚙草，至秋可食，脐内复有种。"后用以为典。
