Discussion on latent landscape of historical towns taking Zhouzhuang as an example;

Focusing on the historical towns in Zhejiang Province, their conservation and renewal, as well as the resulting phenomenon of their interacting in urbanization constitute the objects of this study.

With Lijiang as an example, this paper focuses on the analysis of mechanism, causes of de- cline and characteristics of tourism development in historic towns, the damage of tourism upon the society, economy and culture of the towns and the proper development strategy of tourism.
