【药理作用】
①解热作用 黄羊角水煎液4克/公斤灌胃，使人工发热的家兔于2小时体温开始下降，6小时后恢复正常，而2克/公斤灌胃，则作用甚微。 ②抗惊厥作用 给蟾蜍淋巴腔注射其水煎液0.1克/公斤及0.2克/公斤，对苯甲酸钠咖啡因(淋巴腔注射15毫克/只)所致的惊厥能显著的减少惊厥率，并增加恢复率，而对硝酸士的宁性的惊厥(淋巴腔注射0.06毫克/公斤)则不能降低惊厥率，但能非常显著的增高恢复率。黄羊角水煎液给小鼠灌胃10克/公斤，对苯甲酸钠咖啡因(皮下注射600毫克/公斤)所致的惊厥，不能减少惊厥率和增加恢复率，对硝酸士的宁(皮下注射1毫克/公斤)所致的惊厥，虽能减少惊厥率和增高恢复率，但都不显著。 此外，蟾蜍淋巴腔注射黄羊角水煎液0.2克/只，能非常显著地加强苯巴比妥钠(腹腔注射4毫克/只)的毒性而使蟾蜍死亡。水煎液2克/公斤及4克/公斤给小鼠灌胃，每天1次，连续7次，能加强苯巴比妥钠的毒性。 小鼠腹腔注射黄羊角水煎液80克/公斤，未见有毒性反应，观察3天亦无死亡。
【功用主治】
《吉林中草药》："平肝熄风，清热解毒。治痫症，中风，小儿惊风，肝火炽盛，温热病等。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～3钱。
【选方】
治小儿感冒发热：黄羊角二钱。水煎三小时，滤过，再加热浓缩，然后于滤液中兑蔗糖，制成黄羊角糖浆。分十次服，每日三次。(《吉林中草药》)
