记录中国古代楚地(以江汉为中心的地区)岁时节令风物故事的笔记体文集。南北朝梁朝宗懔(约501～565)撰。全书凡37篇，记载了自元旦至除夕的24节令和时俗。有注，传为隋代杜公瞻作。注中引用经典俗传计68部80余条，说明各种风俗的来源，偶尔也记载北方的节令时俗。《荆楚岁时记》涉及民俗和门神、木版年画、木雕、绘画、土牛、彩塑、剪纸、镂金箔、首饰、彩蛋画、印染、刺绣等民间工艺美术以及乐舞等，这些民俗、民间工艺美术传自远古，延续后世。其中如门神、彩蛋画、土牛、木版年画等民间工艺美术，至今仍在城乡和少数民族地区流传。
