认知科学(eognitive seienee)20世纪90年代以来兴盛的从多学科出发研究信息加工认知活动规律的一组学科。认知科学与认知心理学有着共同的基本原则,都是以A,纽厄尔和H.A.西蒙的物理符号系统学说为基础,把认知都看作是信息的表征和加工的过程。故有时也将认知科学与认知心理学作为同义语来使用。但通常要将两者加以区别:认知心理学是当代心理学研究的一种新取向和新范式,属于心理学的范畴;而认知科学则是有关活体的和人工的信息加工系统的综合性的学科群,其中包括认知心理学、认识论、语言学、信息论、计算机科学、人工智能、数学、神经心理学和神经生理学等多种学科。 (张旭东撰奉丈博审)
