In Liang of Southern Dynasties,Yupian complied by Gu Yewang quoted Zishu in large quantities in order to explain the words,both the Note of Wenxuan written by Li Shan and Yiqiejingyinyi co-written by Hui Lin and Xuan Ying of Tang Dynasty,Xi Lin of Liao Dynasty also quoted Zishu in large quantities.
南朝梁顧野王撰寫的《玉篇》中大量引用《字書》解釋字詞,唐代李善《<文選>注》、唐釋玄應《一切經音義》、慧琳《一切經音義》及遼代希麟《續一切經音義》亦大量引用《字書》,其它辭書,如:《經典釋文》《廣韻》等亦有引用。
