《月月小说》 中国近代小说期刊。月刊。光绪三十二年(1906)九月于上海创刊，至光绪三十四年十二月停刊，共出24期。吴趼人任总撰述，周桂笙任总译述。《月月小说》的宗旨在借小说宣传教育之力改良社会，开通民智，佐群治之进化。认为小说所写的内容便于读者记忆，易于增进读者知识。但小说不仅是游戏笔墨，而实寓教育意义于其中。序文特别强调历史的重要，认为历史著作不仅记其事实而且有旌善惩恶的意义。月刊选载的一些重要小说大体体现上述宗旨。《月月小说》刊载的小说分撰著与译著两大类。撰著以吴趼人创作居多，译著以周桂笙译述较多。撰著分长篇与短篇。长篇按内容性质细分门类，有历史小说、哲理小说、理想小说、社会小说、侦探小说、写情小说等不下20种。短篇小说不分门类，提倡短篇小说是本刊一大特色，共刊载20余篇。译著中以侦探小说、虚无党小说为多。此外，还辟有栏目专载笔记小说。除小说作品外，月刊亦载小说理论文章，兼及戏剧、弹词、诗词等。
