山地狩猎用马的地方品种。产于中国大小兴安岭山区，主要分布在内蒙古自治区的鄂伦春自治旗，黑龙江省的呼玛、爱辉和逊克3个县的部分地区。抗寒力强,耐粗饲，易增膘，寿命长。体格不大，粗糙结实。颈础低，呈水平。鬐甲不明显，胸廓深宽，腰坚实，尻稍斜。四肢较短，呈曲飞，蹄质坚硬。被毛主要为青色，骝色次之，其他颜色较少。母马平均体尺（厘米）:体高129.8，体长137.8，胸围159.3，管围17.7。用于狩猎骑乘时行动敏捷，能穿林越沟，跳踏沼泽地草墩和过独木桥；登山能力也强，冬季下山可背负骑手采取伏坐姿势一滑而下，每小时行走7公里左右,快步可达20公里。能忍饥耐渴，持久力好，狩猎一天后尚可驮载猎物100～150千克。该马有时以猎获的野猪肉或麅子肉充饥，饮动物血解渴。鄂伦春族过去以养驯鹿方式养马，将马群常年放牧山上，只对使用的马补料。20世纪50年代后建棚圈饲养，冬季补饲。
