心理需求(psyeholog，eal needs)亦称“次级需求”，一种同生理需求对应的分类方法。是指一切起自内心，而非来自生理实体的需求，包括与人的社会属性和思维属性有关的需要。心理需求主要是后天习得的，内容极其丰富，如人的自尊心、荣誉感、责任心、归属感、价值追求和成就欲以及学习、探究、创造的需要等都是人的心理需求。从表面看，人的许多心理需求隐而不显，不如生理需求那样实在、具体，但人的心理需求更能说明人的本质方面。每个人的心理需求都是多层次、多侧面的需求结构，并存在着鲜明的个体差异，不仅有倾向性上的差异，也有发展水平上的差异，它同人的环境结构和社会化水平有更密切的关系。同生理需求相比，它的基本特点是:(l)结构与强度因人而异。(2)受人的经验影响显著。(3)在同一人身上其特性因时空和情境而不同。(4)发生在群体交往中。〔5)有更大的不确定性。(6)变化快、弹性大。心理需求与生理需求不仅相互影响，有时还很难截然分开- (孙俊山撰张燮审)
