春桥乡位于县北部，距县城32公里，东南与北炎乡、徐埠镇相邻，北与苏山乡为界，西北与东北分别与湖口流芳、城山、武山为邻，面积48.7平方公里，人口1.54万。景（德镇）九（江）公路从境内东北侧通过。辖云山、老山、官桥、朝阳、春桥、凤山、堰上、十方8个村委会和林场、农科所。
全乡土地面积辽阔，农田灌溉系统完善，是全县主要产粮乡之一，历史最高年产粮132吨。历史上传统生产麻壳花生和红薯。麻壳花生在8月中秋收获后成为市场的抢手货，农家多以炒熟的花生招待客人。近年该乡农民游寿春引进新科技薯粉加工生产线，年产粉丝10多万元，不仅销售全县和南昌、九江，而且远销到日本，在日本作为“长寿食品”而畅销。春桥乡政府适应市场需求，引导农民大种麻壳花生和红薯，种植面积比前些年翻一番。
