After Dayaowan Port was put into function, navigation security is severely affected by the increasing numbers of ships sailing into or out of the port, the increasing ship size, the development of the port itself and the route transformation, and the expansion of sea aquaculture area.
自从大窑湾港区开港以来，随着进出港船舶数量的不断增多和船型的不断增大，港口的发展和航道的改造，再加之海上养殖水域的不断扩充，使该水域的通航安全受到了严重影响，为了保证大窑湾水域的正常通航秩序和避免海上交通事故的发生，选择一个合理的引航员登轮点(范围)就显得尤为重要。

白银寺儿湾石窑
寺儿湾石窟位于甘肃靖远县城西南20公里的北湾镇，石窟开凿于黄河北岸红岩崖上，古名"红罗寺"，因红罗山而得名。窟内有塑像62尊，其中壁间岩石成者为唐代造像，下面十八罗汉是后代所塑，保存基本完好，造像有释伽、伽叶、阿难、观音、天王等。此窟为砖卷拱结构，上有木结构小阁一座，门前左方残碑一块，题曰："古刹寺碑记"。红罗寺原有6窟，始建于唐代，其中黄河北岸5个窟毁于炸山取石，仅存中间一窟。现有寺儿湾石窟有石雕及石胎泥塑造像66尊，形象生动，神态逼真，有较高的艺术价值，1981年列为省级文物保护单位。
