为刺参科动物刺参或其他种海参的肠。动物形态详"海参"条。
【采集】
将海参肠洗净，阴干。
【化学成分】
干肠含钒率为百万份之12份，比其躯壳中含钒率约高3倍，此是海参的一特点，因为其他一些同属动物常不含钒。内脏含一种硫酸多糖，中含氨基葡萄糖，葡萄糖醛酸及硫酸酯。食用海参肠含水分72.490%，粗蛋白质8.836%，粗脂肪2.687%，灰分15.987%。

旅大《中草药新医疗法资料选编》："治胃及十二指肠溃疡。海参肠置瓦上焙干研末。每次服1～2分，一日三次。"
