国家垄断资本主义的作用与局限性：（1）促进资本主义经济发展。据有关资料统计，在1950-1969年资本主义%26#8220;黄金时代%26#8221;的20年里，主要资本主义国家工业生产年均增长率都较高，美国是5.4%，日本是15.5%，原联邦德国是8.6%，意大利是8.4%，法国是5.75%。另据有关资料统计，在1948-1976年的不到30年里，资本主义世界工业生产增长3倍以上，年均增长速度达到6.6%。（2）局限性。它没有也不可能改变资本主义经济基础%26#8212;%26#8212;生产资料私有制和资本对雇用劳动的剥削，不可能摆脱资本主义客观经济规律如剩余价值规律、资本积累规律等的支配，不能解决资本主义基本矛盾和其他矛盾。
