红山文化女神彩塑头像 出土于辽宁凌源，建平两县交界处的牛河梁“女神庙”遗址，属新石器时代红山文化后期，距今五千多年。女神头像头顶和左耳残缺，鼻脱落。高22.5厘米、宽16.5厘米，相当于真人大小。额顶发迹平直起棱，鬓角齐整。耳长圆，微前倾。眉问处圆凸。鼻梁低。眼窝较浅，双眼嵌淡青色圆饼状玉片为睛，眼梢上挑。颧骨高耸。嘴大，外咧。颏尖丰满，向前凸出。塑泥为黄土质，有较大粘性，掺草禾。内胎泥质较粗，捏塑的各部位为细泥质。外皮打磨光滑，出土时颜面呈鲜红色，眼眶、面颊尤显，唇部涂朱。造塑基本准确，形象生动，表现了我国新石器时代彩塑的高水平。
