1.即荀况。战国赵人，世称荀卿。汉时谓之孙卿。曾在齐，游学稷下，三为祭酒。去齐至楚，春申君任以兰陵令。晩年专事著述，终老兰陵。学宗儒术而言性恶，谓须恃礼义以矫其枉，乃得从善。战国末著名政治家韩非﹑李斯，曾师事其门。经学辞赋，对后世殊多影响。今传《荀子》十二卷三十二篇。
