计量中介服务机构在技术市场中，从事计量服务、调解计量纠纷、进行计量公证和仲裁等的社会中介机构。在中国，除中国计量协会和中国计量测试学会开展了信息交流、咨询服务等工作外，还有各类公证计量行(站)，例如称重公证计量站、金银饰品纯度与重量公证计量站、眼镜屈光度公证计量站等涉及贸易公证计量服务的机构正在逐步建立。这些计量公证、仲裁和服务机构，都需按照《中华人民共和国计量法》等法规的要求，通过计量认证、考核注册等方式进行资格认定，建立自律性运行机制，承担相应的法律和经济责任，并接受政府计量行政部门的管理和监督。国际上，许多国家的政府除了设置一些计量检定机构外，还有许多行业协会、企业建立的一些社会化计量测试服务机构，从事计量器具的校准测试和咨询服务。它们也是中介服务机构，但在测量数据的溯源性方面是由政府通过认证和授权的方式，依法进行监督和管理。
