迁移的关系理论(relation theory oftransfer)格式塔心理学家提出的关于迁移的一种理论。这一理论认为,学习之所以能产生迁移,不在于共同要素的存在,而在于对整个情境的顿悟,即学习者对学习情境中的关系的领悟。德国格式塔心理学派创始人之一苛勒(Kohler,W.)曾用小鸡和3岁儿童在两张深浅不同的灰色纸上寻找食物的实验来证明这一理论。首先,他把深灰色的A纸和浅灰色的B纸放在地上,经过练习使被试学会只在深灰色纸上取食,而不到浅灰色纸上取食。然后,他把B纸拿开,换上比A纸和B纸更深的C纸,再让被试去取食。结果表明,小鸡对A纸做出取食反应为30%,而对C纸做出取食反应为70%;3岁儿童则100%地对C纸做出取食反应。苛勒根据这一结果认为,被试是依据整个情境,即对情境中深色与浅色的关系做出反应,而不是依据A纸与B纸的单个刺激做出反应。在练习中,被试学会的是趋深避浅的反应。因此,B纸换成C纸后,被试仍然基于趋深避浅的习惯,在C纸上取食而不到A纸上取食。所以,通过训练领悟关系是获得迁移的真正手段。实际上,关系理论与贾德的概括化理论是相通的,因为学习者能否领悟情境中的关系是以其概括能力为转移,而学习者越能觉察事物间的关系则概括化的可能性也越大。 (成立夫撰匾巫国审)
