In the light of the historical documental data,the author holds th at the reasons for decline of Xiqiang tribes in Qinghai lies in adverse geographic al conditions,the intervention of outside power and the struggle and amalgamatio n between the Qiang people and Xianbei tribes surrounded by Qinghai Lakes.

There was Tu people and Tu people tribe in Qinghai since Ming and Qing Dynasties,and offirmed to be the Tus after liberation.
