| 汴渠 中国古代沟通黄河和淮河的骨干运河。又称汴河，通济渠。古汴河是自战国以来鸿沟运河系统的一支，从今郑州西北引黄河水，经今开封、商丘、虞城、砀山、萧县，至徐州入泗水，再入淮水，在汉代和南北朝时都是重要运道。东汉王景曾大修过。隋大业元年（ 605 ），开通济渠，自洛阳西苑引谷、洛二水入黄河，又自黄河板渚（今荥阳县汜水镇东）引水与古汴河合，至开封以东改道向东南，经今杞县、商丘、夏邑、永城、宿州、灵璧、泗县、泗洪，至泗州（今江苏省盱眙县城淮河对岸）入淮河，唐宋时改称汴渠或汴河，但与古汴河线路不同。唐建都长安、洛阳，北宋建都东京（今开封）都依靠这条运河运输江南的粮食和各种贡品，是南北交通的大动脉。南宋与金对峙时，南北交通断绝，汴渠堙废。 |
