    冬季储藏林木种子,关键是控制种子的呼吸强度。为此,应抓好四条措施:
    一是晒种去杂。种皮坚硬、含水量较低,在一般条件下不会迅速降低发芽力的种子,如大部分针叶树、豆科、翅果类及含水量较低的蒴果种子,均可利用日光曝晒进行干燥。但有些林木种子,一旦干燥便很快脱水,迅速丧失生命力,如栎类、板栗等。有的林木种子小,种皮薄,成熟后代谢作用旺盛,如杨、柳、榆、桑等。有的林木种子含油性,如花椒等,这些种子要放在通风良好的室(棚)内阴干。
    种子里常混有种翅、鳞片、果皮、果柄、枝叶碎片、秕粒、石块等杂物。这些杂物吸湿性较强,含水量较高,容易使种子受潮腐烂。因此,储藏前应先采用风选、筛选或粒选方法,去掉混在种子中的各种杂物
    二是调温控湿。大多数林木种子储藏最适宜温度是0℃-5℃,在此范围内,不仅种子呼吸微弱,而且免受冻害。种皮薄、透性强的林木种子易吸湿,容易造成种子霉烂。所以,储藏室应注意通风,加强种子堆中的气体交换,并调节好储藏室内温湿度,使种子呼吸作用减弱。
    三是分类储藏。松类、刺槐等种子,可装入袋、箱、缸、桶等容器内,置于干燥、低温通风的室内储藏;而杨、柳、榆、桑等林木种子,要经过精选并干燥到安全含水量,然后装入消毒过的玻璃瓶或陶瓷容器中,加盖密封储藏。湿藏法适用于含水量较高的种子,如板栗、银杏、油桐等,按种子1份,含水量40%—50%的湿砂3份,混合储藏。
    四是定期检查。林木种子储藏期间,要定期检查,防止种子干燥、受潮、发热霉烂、受冻、过早发芽和鼠类危害。发现问题,立即采取措施。(来源:黑龙江林业2003年第1期)
