Shizi Lin in the northeastern part of Pingjiang Lu or Suzhou Fu, built by the prentices of the Tianru Monk Weize who was the prentice of the Zhongfeng Monk Mingben, was famous of the ingenious rocky hill and ethereal structure, or overall arrangement combining the natural and artificial objects.
元平江路、明苏州府城东北隅的“狮子林”亦“师子林”,最初由中峰和尚明本的徒孙为其师天如和尚维则所建,以石山的精巧和构筑的幽胜,“自然”与“人工”结合的布局而闻名当世。
