《诗经》有不少远古不文明婚俗的反映:以女方为支配的赘婚,以男子为中心的媵妾婚,前者造成了《诗经》时代独特的弃夫现象,后者更造成了当时大量存在的弃妇现象;此外,还有兄弟共妻制、多夫多妻制、收继制等婚姻形式。

补充资料：A伯妾倪墓出土西周绣迹
A伯妾倪墓出土西周绣迹 刺绣在周代已具有相当水平，当时称“黹”。周王冕服有“希衣”，是刺绣的服饰。1976年陕西宝鸡茹家庄西周A1伯妾倪墓中，发现有较明显的刺绣印痕。据观察，刺绣的颜色大概是在刺绣以后画（平涂）上去的，绣法为辫子股针法。花纹主要应用单线条（一条辫子股）勾勒轮廓，个别部分为加强纹饰效果，运用了双线条。线条舒卷自如，针脚均匀齐整，说明西周刺绣技巧已很熟练。
