After pointed out some problems in today's study of Hakka dialects archaic words such as not great number of archaic words, difference of etymological note, short of deepgoing general study, this paper made a special study on archaic words in Meixian dialect which is representation of Hakka dialects.
客家方言古语词的研究目前还存在着考释数量有限、考证本字不一、总体研究不够等问题，基于此，本文以客家方言的代表梅县方言为研究对象，对其中的古语词进行专门研究。

The Meixian dialect, which shows the main characteristics of Hakkas dialect, has 16 initial consonants, 72 compound vowels and 6 tones.
梅县方言是客家方言的代表点，有声母16个，韵母72个，声调6个。

河南省新乡市辖县，棉花高产区之一。位于省境北部,卫河上游，京广铁路经过境内。面积523.6平方公里，人口40.08万。县府驻新乡市。县境位于黄卫平原,平均海拔约80米，境内有共产主义渠、卫河、引黄人民胜利渠总干渠和东、西孟姜女河等排灌河道。年均温14.0℃，年降水量606毫米。气候温和,雨热同季。农作物以小麦、棉花、玉米、水稻为主，尤以棉花生产占重要地位，为豫北棉花集中产区之一。县境七里营乡以盛产棉花著称。该乡的刘庄已初步建立了农、林、牧、副等各业综合发展的生产结构,商品生产发达,被誉为"小康之村"。新乡县工业有化肥、农机、造纸、水泥、玻璃、面粉、榨油等。
