| 旅顺口 中国北方军港，清代北洋舰队基地。位于辽宁省辽东半岛南端，东濒黄海，西临渤海，南隔渤海海峡与山东半岛之威海卫势成犄角，共扼渤海咽喉，为京津海上门户。明代为防倭寇建城郭，驻重兵，设金州中左所。清光绪六年(1880)辟为军港，建船坞，筑炮台，置水雷鱼雷营、军械局。后又设水师提督署，遂成海防要塞、北洋舰队基地之一。旅顺口为不冻良港，港区分东西两澳，东澳港小水深，西澳港阔水浅。中日甲午战争中，1894年被日军攻占。后因俄、法、德反对日本独占而归还中国。1897年，被沙俄强租，成为俄国太平洋舰队基地。1904年日俄战争中，旅顺口遂为日军占领。1945年8月，日本在第二次世界大战中战败投降后，苏军进驻旅顺口，1950年2月，根据《中苏关于中长铁路、旅顺口及大连协定》，由两国共同使用，1955年5月归还中国，为中国人民解放军海军基地。 |
