Through analyzing and arranging the actual data measured of mountain area rivers in southwest of China,we summarize:The ideal channel flow route should have sine derivative curve flow route,harmonized flow direction,good flow route corner and bigger curve radius.

The paper puts forward a governing equation suiting for winding bend training of braided channel in the lower Yellow River,revises the planned thalweg at the sections where river training works are uncompleted at present and exams the layout of planned flow path based on the theory of sine derivative curve.
