| 避讳字 中国古代为回避君父尊亲的名字而改写的字。避君主的名字，据说始自秦代。秦始皇名嬴政，一名正，所以秦代称“正月”为“端月”。秦以后避讳成为惯例。汉代以后，避讳的要求渐严。唐太宗名李世民，唐代人写书把“世”写作“”，或改写为“代”；“民”缺笔写作“”，或改写作“人”。避讳不仅要避当代皇帝的名字，而且要避皇帝的父祖的名字。如唐太宗的父亲名李渊，史书遇到“渊”字就改为“泉”，或改为“深”。宋代避讳，极为繁乱。宋太祖的祖父名赵敬，宋代人书中“敬”字改为“恭”，或改为“严”，这叫作避嫌名。 |
