补充资料:地理熵
衡量地理空间、地理过程、地理系统等的有序程度或宏观状态的一个函数。借用热力学第二定律有关熵的基本概念,结合地理系统的实际状况,经改换后平移到地理学中。1962年,利奥波德(l.b.leopold)等首次提出地形学变量与热力学变量之间的相似,将地表高度模拟物体温度,将地理质量模拟物体热量,从而建立了“地形熵”。之后,沙伊德格尔(a.e.scheidegger)等于1966年又提出“最小地理熵”的概念;威尔逊(a.g. wilson)于城市地理的研究中,提出“熵最大模型”。以后,对于地理熵的研讨更趋广泛,企图使它成为衡量地理整体特性的一个统一指标,以便判断地理系统的结构或过程在统一基础上的可比性。与此同时,又把地理熵与地理信息的关系,从本质上和数学定量上统一起来。
