Based on the comparative study of the eastern and western terraces taken shape in lower Pleistocene in Shenhu Bay,it is shown that there exist moving faults since Holocene in the area,which provides with new evidences for the interpretation of symbiotic origin of both the palaeontological wonders,ancient forest and ancient oyster reef.
