目前已应用快速成形技术的工业部门有很多，据“Rapid Prototyping & Tooling - State of the Industry(1998 Worldwide Progress Report)”(by Terry T. Wholes)中权威资料统计显示，快速成形技术已广泛应用在消费产品、商业设备、航空航天和汽车等诸多行业，在各行业部门中应用所占比例如图所示。
