| 余玠（？～1253） 中国南宋末抗蒙大臣。字义夫。蕲州（今湖北蕲春南）人。嘉熙年间任知招信军，于汴城、河阴战败蒙古军。淳祐元年（1241），赴援安丰，败蒙古军，任四川宣谕使，后又兼四川总领兼夔路转运使。自蒙古军攻入四川，宋朝将吏各专号令，犹如一盘散沙。余玠到任后，大改弊政，遴选守臣，惩杀悍将、溃将，整顿军政；轻徭薄征，设置屯田；修学养士，延纳贤才。同时加强战备，修筑钓鱼城（今四川合川东）等10余城，皆因山为垒，或为诸州治所，或用屯兵积粮；驻重兵于大获城以控扼自陕入蜀孔道，驻重兵于青居、钓鱼、云顶以保障嘉陵江、长江，形成一个防御网。从淳祐三年到四年，余玠与蒙古军大小36战，战果显著。后又率军北攻兴元（今陕西汉中），还击退进扰成都、嘉定（今四川乐山）的蒙古军。宝祐元年（1253），宋廷听信谗言，召余玠回朝。余玠闻召不安，七月，突然死去。 |
