In this thesis, some characteristics are summarized in WCDMA radio network, such as multi-service and multi-bit ratio, soft handover factor, cell breathing, pilot frequency pollution, self-interference specialty and so on, and at the same time, an in-depth analysis of the difference of WCDMA and GSM in the radio network planning is carried out.

Conventional soft hand-off generally uses constant thresholds.

Simulation results show that the required fade margin for hard hand-off with a finite hysteresis level is larger than that for soft hand-off,and is smaller than that for hard handoff with an isolated cell model.

The integration uncertain border value is estimated by fuzzy inference and the soft switch control is accomplished by tanh(x) function replacing sgn(x).

The practice shows that the hardware exchange and software exchange have respective merits and faults and they both satisfy the needs of stepper motor drive.

Based on the previous works on single cell case, we extend the outage probability analysis to the multi-cell environment with soft-handoff by analyzing the outage probability under soft-handoff and the soft-handoff probability.

At the same time, solved the possibility of packet loss when mobile host handoff by using soft-handoff.
