This paper expounds the significance of the construction of the west side of the Straits, elaborates the relation between university library and the construction of the west side of the Straits, and researches the functions of university library in the construction of the west side of the Straits based on its information superiorities.

A series of geological events took place in Tarim Basin in Hercynian periods,including two structural events in the end of middle Devonian and late Permian,the rise of sea-level and transgression in early Carboniferous,and magmatic activity in early Permian.

Analysis on the reservoir feature and the influencing factor of Haixi paulopost volcanic rock in Tahe Oilfield;

precipitation samples were collected at Qianliyan Island (western Yellow Sea) and Maidao from 1997 to 1998, and the concentrations for 10 major ions, including H +、NH + 4、K +、 Na +、 Ca 2+ 、Mg 2+ 、F -、Cl -、NO - 3、SO 2- 4 were determined.
