从化中学地处广州北部从化市城区，距广州60公里，始建于1926年，抗日战争期间曾搬到从化温泉办学，解放前夕再迁回原址。目前有32个教学班，学生1900多人。学校一直是从化市重点完全中学，从化市普通教育的“窗口”学校，1995年被评为“广东省一级学校”。
