北宋初年对辽的战役。太平兴国四年(公元979年)宋太宗灭北汉后,乘胜率师攻辽,包围南京(今北京市),城中大震。辽以全力来援,战于高粱河(约在今北京外城一带),辽将耶律休哥与耶律斜珍左右夹击,耶律学古也开城接应。宋军将士疲乏,大败溃退,尽失兵仗粮饷。然辽帅耶律休哥也受伤不能骑马,轻车追到涿州(治今河北涿县)而止。
