韵鸣九皋 古人以鹤为天上的瑞鸟，《诗经·小雅》：“鹤鸣于九皋，声闻于天”。皋，水边的岸地。汉人更传说鹤是长生不死的神禽，骑着它可上天与神仙相会。刘向《九叹远游》：“腾群鹤于瑶光”。鹤鸣九皋，寓意长寿祥瑞。故古人以此作成吉祥图案。
