形态特征:忍冬科荚蒾属灌木或小乔木植物,高2-5米。幼枝紫褐色。叶对生,卵形、卵状长圆形或近菱形,长4-13厘米,边缘有于齿;叶柄长0.8-2.5厘米。4-5用开花,花序夏伞房状,直径5-11厘米 萼筒长约1.5毫米,萼檐具5微齿;花冠白色,长约3毫米,辐状。核果近球形,直径6-7毫米,熟时红色,核扁,背具2、腹具1浅槽。
生境分布:生于海拔1150-3100米的山坡林下、沟谷灌丛中。分布于四川、贵州、陕西、湖北、湖南、甘肃、山西、河北太行山区。
