| 丹江口市 位于中国湖北省西北部,汉江上游,东北邻接河南省。面积3111平方千米。人口 44.99万以汉族为主。汉高祖五年(前202)置武当县,因境内武当山得名。隋开皇五年(585)置均州。1912年改为均县。1983年置丹江口市,因市区地处丹江入汉江之口,故名。矿产资源有金、铜、铁、石英、石棉等。山区林业资源丰富,有木耳、龙须草、药材等。柞蚕丝产量居全省前列。自1958年兴建丹江口水利枢纽工程后,迅速发展成为以水电为主的新兴工业城市。有冶金、电力、化学、建材、纺织等门类。丝织挂毯远销欧美。均州晒烟、桐油等为地方特产。为开放城市,旅游资源丰富。武当山风景区是道教圣地,有庞大的明代建筑群,尤以金殿最著名。还有文笔塔、红三军司令部旧址等名胜和纪念地。 |
