Born-von Kamen boundary condition

  玻恩一卡门边界条件Born一von Kamen boundarycondition在求解晶体中电子系统等问题时,为避免表面效应而选取的一种人为的边界条件。又称周期性边界条件。 在求解晶体中电子的薛定谬方程时,采用某种边界条件来表示电子限制在晶体体积V之内。若不考虑表面效应,或仅限于研究不受表面影响的体材料中的问题,可以只根据数学上的方便来选取边界条件。事实上,只要晶体体积和尺度足够大,可以预期体材料结果不会受表面影响,于是可以选材料为立方体,边长L一Vl,3o设想立方体的每个表面都与它的对立面相接,那么,到达表面的电子将不被反射回来,而是离开材料,并且同时在对立面的相应点重新进入材料。于是,可以写出 必(x,y,之+L)~沪(x,夕,之) 必(x,y千L,之)一必(x,y,动 动(x+L,y,之)=沪(x,y,之)这就是玻恩一卡门边界条件。 (王以铭、曾令之)
