| 液化气船 liquified gas carrier 载运液化气的一种液货运输船舶。分液化石油气船和液化天然气船。液化石油气船用于运输加压液化或冷冻液化的石油气。按石油液化的方法，液化石油气船可分为压力式、半冷冻半压力式和冷冻式3种 。压力式液化石油气船是将几个压力贮藏罐装在船上。冷冻液化的石油气体积比加压液化的体积小2％～6％，具有运输上的优越性，货舱冷冻的温度约为－50℃。液化石油气船不能运载液化天然气，而液化天然气船则可运载液化石油气，故液化石油气船不如液化天然气船发展快，一般容量在10万立方米以下。由于天然气液化温度低（在一个大气压时为－164℃），普遍碳素钢易发脆，只能用镍或铝合金制造货舱。液化天然气船货舱可以是罐式，置于船内，或为膜式，以镍（铝）合金钢膜衬于货舱内壁，这种船采用双壳结构。膜式货舱的容积较罐式货舱得到充分利用，且结构重量也较轻。液化气船因结构与设备都复杂，因此造价也较昂贵。
