    　　摘要刊登制浆造纸工业重要科学技术文献的月刊。美国造纸化学研究院编辑发行。1930年11月13日创刊。美国造纸化学研究院是一所独立的学府，主要培养博士研究生,经常从事150项左右的科研项目。研究院也是有关制造和使用浆、纸、纸板、林产品和副产品的科学技术情报中心。文摘简要介绍当今造纸工业科学技术文献，包括造纸理论、工艺、原材料、浆、纸和纸板生产经验及产品应用，经济统计，商业信息等方面的文献，为造纸工业提供情报服务。搜集的文献较广，仅杂志就有近1000种（包括25种语言）,并包括7国的专利公报。文摘主要分两部分:①杂志、书籍和论文的文摘,按字母的顺序分为40类。是月刊的主要部分，约占篇幅的一半。②专利公报文摘,约占篇幅的1/4。其他如特殊名称索引、主题索引、著者索引、专利号索引和缩写名词表等约占1/4。每卷的第一期(7月份月刊)公布采选杂志名称，每卷末期有各种总索引。
