美国佛罗里达州西岸港市。位于希尔斯伯勒河口。临坦帕湾,外连墨西哥湾。市区面积218平方公里，人口27.2万(1980),其中黑人约占1/4。坦帕－圣彼得斯堡大市区包括希尔斯巴勒等2县，面积 2751平方公里，人口156.9万(1980)。始建于 1823年。1855年设市，30年后，随着南佛罗里达铁路的通达，港口的改善，雪茄烟制造和旅游业的兴起，城市迅速发展，现为美国主要海港之一，坦帕湾口有半岛屏障，港阔水深。州内丰富的磷酸盐矿以及柑橘类水果、林产品等,多经由本港输出,1982年货物吞吐量4860多万吨。优质哈瓦那雪茄烟名闻全国，大部分烟厂在市中心东北的伊博尔城。其他重要工业产品有水果罐头、啤洒、化肥、电子设备等。20世纪20年代在坦帕湾建成的人工岛──戴维斯岛，多旅馆、别墅和各种游乐设施。伊博尔城为拉丁区，以西班牙特色的餐馆和商店著称。有布斯克花园等著名游览场所。大型国际机场位于城西。一年一度州商品交易会的所在地。
