计算机通信网
计算机通信网由多台计算机及其终端设备，通过通信线路互相连接，实现信息交换的网路。通过计算机之间和计算机与终端之间的信息交换，实现资源共享。计算机通信网的拓扑结构形式有总线型、环形、星形和网状。利用计算机通信网，可以办理电子信函、可视图文、电子数据交换、联网信息和资料查询等通信与信息处理相结合的业务。根据地理分布范围，计算机通信网可以划分为局域网、广域网和城域网。局域网，是在一个局部地理范围内(如一个工厂、一个机关)将各种计算机、外围设备及数据库等互连而成的计算机通信网。它可以通过数据通信网或专用数据专线与其它局域网、数据库或信息处理中心相连接，构成一个大范围的信息处理系统。局域网由硬件和软件两部分组成。传输线路的速率为IMb/s至1。。Mb，/s或更高。目前，已广泛用于办公自动化、生产自动化、大型信息处理等系统中。广域网，是一个在广泛的地理范围内建立的计算机通信网，其范围可以跨越一个城市或地区的界限，甚至广及全球。网路的复杂性以及对通信的要求都很高。广域网通常采用网状结构，由通信子网和资源子网两部分组成。通信子网是，一个具有数据通信功能的数据网;资源子网，包括计算机、终端、数据库等，具有联网信息处理功能。城域网，是在一个城市范围内建立的计算机通信网，在技术上与局域网有许多模拟之处，实际是扩大了的局域网。局域网一般采用总线型或环形结构。传输媒介主要采用光缆。传输速率在looMb/S以上。它是一个城市的骨干网，将位于同一城市不同地的主机、数据库，以及局域网连接起来.用于计算机通信.传送数据、话音和图像等信息。
