水上漂流旅游”在国际上早已是热门旅游项目，它集旅游和探险为一体，富有趣味和刺激性，有惊无险，安全可靠，深受广大游客喜爱，发展前景很好。永定河峡谷漂流(www.saiwai.cn/piaoliu.asp)，在我国北方及京、津、张地区，开办最早（1995年开办），规模最大，号称“北方第一漂”。永定河峡谷水上漂流地点位于永定河上游，起始于官厅水库大坝发电站。水量、流速、水深都可人为控制，能适应不同层次的游客漂流，十分理想，漂流全程50公里，时速约10-15公里。目前已开通发电站至旧庄窝后涧湖段，约长10公里，号称“万米漂游”。游客乘坐高强力专用橡皮艇，身穿救生衣，手持划桨、穿梭、畅游在永定河峡谷，那豪情趣味难以言喻，只有亲身试一试才能领略。
